Shopping from abroad can come with customs charges. For personal orders sent by courier or post, Barbados uses the item's value in Barbados dollars (BBD) — not shipping fees — to decide what may be duty-free.
These bands took effect from 1 April 2026. Barbados Customs makes the final decision, and we cannot guarantee exemption. Your dashboard and invoice show shipping, insurance, duties, VAT, and other fees clearly so you can review everything before you pay.
Up to BBD $150
Personal courier or postal orders with item value up to BBD $150 may be duty-free and VAT-free. Excluded product types still pay full charges.
BBD $150.01 to $199.99
In this band, duty may be waived but VAT usually still applies. We flag this when preparing your quote.
Always pay full duty & VAT
Alcohol, cannabis products, vapes, cigars, cigarettes, and manufactured tobacco — and any order from BBD $200 up — do not get these exemptions.
